Building Your Own Don’t Look Down Map

To create your own “Don’t Look Down” map in Gimkit, go to Creative Mode, click “New Map”, then design a platform using blocks and items that won’t let the player fall down, add speed boosts, jump pads, or challenging paths if you want, then set the game rules, name it “Don’t Look Down”, save it, and play or host it.

Best Design Tips for Creative Map Builders

If you want to create a fun and great creative map in Gimkit, then these tips will be very useful for you:

  1. Plan in advance – Before designing the map, think about its theme and what the players will have to do.
  2. Make it simple but challenging – The map should not be so easy that the fun is lost and not so difficult that no one can play it.
  3. Take care of space and movement – Keep the paths open so that the player can move properly, jump and avoid falling.
  4. Do smart item placement – Place speed boost, jump pad, traps etc. at the right place so that the fun and thrill remains in the game.
  5. Do testing – After the map is made, play it yourself and see if everything is working properly or not.
  6. Beauty is also important – Keep in mind good colors, patterns and symmetry so that the map also looks fun to look at.
  7. Take feedback and improve – Take feedback from friends or classmates and make changes where needed.

Using Traps, Platforms, and Powerups Effectively

It is very important to use Traps, Platforms and Powerups correctly and effectively in Gimkit Creative Mode, because these are the things that make your map fun and challenging. Use traps on paths where the player has to pass carefully, but make sure that there are not too many traps or else the game will become very difficult.

Design the platforms in such a way that their height and distance test the player’s jumping and balancing skills, and try to keep some platforms moving or small so that the thrill remains in the game. Use powerups to give a little help to the player and increase the fun in the game, but place them at points where it is a little difficult to reach, so that the player has to take risks. If you maintain a good balance of all three things, then your Creative Map will not only be fun to play but will also become memorable.

Testing and Publishing Your Custom Map

Creative Mode in Gimkit

When your Creative Map is ready, it is very important to check it by playing it yourself first. For this, you have to click on the “Play” or “Preview” button given above. With this you can see whether your map is working properly or not. If there is any mistake, like the path is blocked, the trap is in the wrong place or the powerup is out of reach, then you can go back and fix it easily.

When you are completely happy that everything is fine now, then click on the “Publish” button given in Creative Mode. Now you have to enter a good name of your map, a short description (ie information about the map), and some tags so that people can search it easily.

As soon as you publish, your map will now be visible to everyone and anyone can play it or even copy and edit it as per their requirement.
